The Minister of Finance when 1 dav him this

morning shared my hope that neither London nor Xanking

would omune difficulties which would delay the formal

conclusion of the agreement recently reached between

the inspector-General of Customs and the Governor of

Hangcong.

Dr. Joong congratulated China on the terms of

the agreemont and longkong on the goodwill which would

result from it.
